The Crew Bank

What is a crew bank?  A crew bank is a list of folks wishing to be  a part of a crew on a cruising or racing boat and/or to help with a boat at the dock. You may get a call, depending on your experience, to crew on a sailboat in a race, help out on a day cruise,  help out moving a boat, or help a boat owner with many other tasks.

Send your boating experience, what type of boating help you can provide, and your availability along with your phone number and/or e-mail to the webmaster.

Your information will then be posted here for skippers looking for help and they will contact you directly.

Aug 2009 -  I am interested in crewing on a sailboat

I have sailed off and on over the last twenty years in various boats generally under 26 feet.  I moved to Sequim 2 years ago and am interested in spending more time on the water.  As it was several years since I had been aboard a sailboat, I decided to brush up by taking the adult sailing course offered by the NorthWest Maritime org in Port Townsend.  I finished the course a couple of weeks ago and am looking for avenues to continue to sail and meet like minded individuals.  All of my sailing has been casual and I crewed in a race only once many years ago.

I am generally available most days with advance notice and many times with short notice.  I look forward to participating. Here is my contact information:

Jan 31 2010 -
I would like to be a crewman on a sail boat

Greetings,

I have thousands of hours under way on small boats with the coast guard. I have been a coxswain for over two years now and would like to broaden my horizons. I am 25 years old and would love to learn how to sail. I am very confident with all other aspects of seamanship including marlinspike and charting. If you seek compensation for your time I am sure we could come to an agreement.

Please give me a call or send me an email if you can help!

Cheers,
Russell Means
