The Port Angeles Yacht Club (PAYC) has Reciprocal Agreements with most area Yacht Clubs. Reciprocal yacht clubs can be found by looking on the yachtdestinations.org website. PAYC members can obtain free or reduced cost moorage at marinas with yacht clubs with which we have a reciprocal agreement. Specifics vary depending on the yacht club and marina. PAYC members should consult the Yacht Destinations website for detailed information and contact details for each location. Be sure to carry your PAYC membership card when traveling as this often must be shown to obtain reciprocal moorage. In addition, many yacht clubs require your PAYC burgee to be flown on your boat.
PAYC members are encouraged to notify the Port Angeles Marina Harbormaster, (360) 457-4505, whenever their slip will be vacant for one or more weeks. This will allow your slip to be assigned as reciprocal moorage for visiting boaters belonging to other yacht clubs. Reciprocals at Port Angeles Boat Haven are limited to members of Yacht Clubs that have reciprocal agreements with the PAYC.
To obtain reciprocal moorage at Port Angeles Boat Haven
The Port Angeles Yacht Club does not own any moorage. Please contact the Port of Port Angeles Boat Haven Marina Harbormaster at (360) 457-4505 to obtain moorage. The Harbormaster will assign you a slip (or linear dock) and the PAYC will reimburse the moorage fee up to a maximum of $51.20 per day. This reimbursement will provide for free moorage for boats up to 32′ in length at the current (2024 rate of $ 1.60/foot.) We limit this type of reimbursement agreement to a total of two (2) nights per boat during the current calendar year. Reimbursement is also limited to two boats per club on any given night. Water is available on the docks and there is a nominal fee for power that is paid directly to the Harbormaster. As an alternative, PAYC member slips may be assigned to visiting boats when available at no cost for up to a total of two (2) nights during the current calendar year. This is at the sole discretion of Harbormaster.
To be reimbursed, please submit, by e-mail or USPS mail, a copy of your bill showing payment to the Port of Port Angeles Boat Haven along, a copy of your current yacht club membership card, and your mailing address so that we can send you your reimbursement. Our e-mail address is [email protected]. Our mailing address is: PAYC, P.O. Box 692, Port Angeles, WA 98362
