This approximately 90-minute introductory presentation will give radar users a practical assist to get underway using your radar, including controls and operation, limitations of radar, its use in navigation and piloting, and underway with an intro to collision avoidance. Essential navigation rules related to radar are emphasized, with ample time for Q&A. The presentation will be of benefit to both power and sail cruisers and will address radar and general related issues common to all manufacturers’ products. If you’re thinking about buying a radar, this fundamental info may help your decision process.
Our presenter, Larry Brandt, has for many years been chief radar instructor at the Starpath School of Navigation. He is a former professional aviator and is a certified American Sailing Association instructor for all levels up to Advanced Coastal Cruising, Navigation and Weather.

We've always been told to "Beware the Ides of March!"

All you have to do is bring a pot luck side dish or dessert!

Sudie Mason, will be telling about how her cat saved their lives on the fishing boat.
